Total Hip Replacement is a powerhouse Danish/Ghanaian supergroup that blends heavy grooves, warm brass, and synth-driven textures into a rich mix of reggae, highlife, afrobeat, dub, and soul.

With a tight horn section, infectious rhythms, and a dynamic stage presence, their sound is funky, introspective, and energizing all at once.

From standout studio recordings to electrifying live performances, they’ve toured across 10 countries—including Ghana and Greenland—and appeared at major festivals along the way.

WHEN & WHERE:

• Date & Time: Friday, 12 September 2025. Doors open at 8:00 pm; band starts around 9:30 pm bossaphonik.com.

ARRIVING:
I’ll be there from about 8:40 pm, at the table to your right inside the entrance. Arriving before 8:45 pm helps you avoid queues—and if you're already ticketed and it’s busy, you can usually slip in quickly.

COMMUNICATING VIA MEETUP APP:
Ensure your app is installed with notifications on. Chat is gone, but you can post on the event page or message me directly. I’ll also update what I'm wearing on the day (likely a blue T-shirt).

ABOUT THE NIGHT:
Bossaphonik brings Oxford’s signature live jazz-world-dance vibe—all fused and upbeat. With brass, funk, highlife, Afro-jazz, and world rhythms deeply embedded in the lineup, this evening promises joy, movement, and connection.

PARKING:
Limited availability. Extra parking is in the public carpark by Sainsbury’s on Between Towns Road (3 hours max).

EAR/NOISE PROTECTION:
If tinnitus is a concern (as it is for me), bring earplugs. Most people don’t—but better safe than sorry.
