We’ve all heard phrases like “God will never give you more than you can handle” or “Forgive and forget.” They sound comforting, but here’s the problem: God never actually said them. In this 4-week series, “God Never Said That,” we’ll uncover some of the most common cultural myths about God, compare them with the truth of Scripture, and discover the hope and freedom found in what God really does say.

Week 2: Forgive, Don't Forget
Ephesians 4: 31-32, Colossians 3:13
God never tells us to erase our memories or act as if nothing happened. What He does call us to is genuine forgiveness, which releases bitterness and entrusts justice to Him. Forgiveness is a choice empowered by God’s grace, but it doesn’t mean we minimize the pain we feel or fail to set boundaries by agreeing to forget what has happened.
