Signal jammers, gait analysis, long-range acoustic devices, geofencing, IMSI catchers, biometrics, data brokers - going to a protest these days can make you feel like you're living inside a dystopian cuckoo-clock. How can the savvy street-fighting worker make sense of this adversarial landscape when they go toe-to-toe with the 21st-century police state?

Join us Friday, 27th February for an international web call (using Jitsi Meet, an end-to-end encrypted Zoom alternative; no need to download an app!) where we'll be breaking down modern surveillance technology, how it's applied in the context of the mass street protests currently spreading around the world (especially the USA), and how, to the maximum extent possible, you can protect yourself when out in the field.

This will be the first in a series of LMRG International "Field Schools". We'll be hosting online workshops on hands-on, practical topics useful to today's would-be street fighters, from Dhaka to Detroit. We'll look at protest tactics, organisational methodology, community organising strategies, medical and mutual aid, protest technology both state and anti-state, and much more.

Check back on the day for the Jitsi Meet link! Take care, see you soon and stay safe out there space cowboys.
