Join us on a visit to the V&A East Storehouse in Stratford, London.

The Victoria & Albert Museum will open their East London branch on 31 May 2025.

The V&A East Storehouse is a major new cultural space in London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, offering a fresh and immersive way to experience museum collections. Designed by world-renowned architects Diller Scofidio+Renfro in collaboration with Austin-Smith:Lord, the building occupies part of the former London 2012 Olympics Media Centre and spans four levels—an area larger than 30 basketball courts.
This purpose-built venue houses over 250,000 objects, 350,000 library books, and 1,000 archives from the V&A’s extensive collection.

Unlike traditional museums, the Storehouse is designed to give visitors behind-the-scenes access to how a museum works. It invites people to explore how and why objects are collected, how they’re preserved, and what they reveal about our world.

Join us for a coffee in Clarnico Cafe, which is opposite the Storehouse. This may be suspect to change

2:00pm ~ ENTER THE EXHIBITION

3:30pm ~ Late: PARK SOCIAL
We'll likely remain in Olympic Park with Hackney Bridge Food Court nearby for food and refreshments

GETTING THERE:
Address: Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London, E20 3AX

• Underground: Take the Central or Jubilee lines to Stratford Station. From there, it's approximately a 15-minute walk to Here East.​
• Overground: Use the London Overground to Hackney Wick Station. It's about a 10-minute walk from the station to Here East.
• Bus: The following TfL bus routes serve the area: 26, 30, 97, 108, 236, 276, 308, 339, 388, 488, W15, N26.

GROUP RULES, PLEASE NOTE:
LoMAZ events are run by volunteers. We limit event numbers as we prefer a smaller, friendlier group.

If you can no longer attend, please change your RSVP as soon as possible.
We remove members from the LoMAZ Meetup group who:

• RSVP as ‘Going' but then do not show up (without changing their RSVP) three times in a row
• RSVP as ‘Going' but then change their RSVP to 'No' five times in a row
• Turn up at an event without being on the 'Going' list (i.e. members who have not signed up or are on the waitlist)
