Description and Challenge: Let’s Conquer the Hong Kong Trail – In Two Epic Parts! The Hong Kong Trail is a legendary 50 km route that runs almost the entire length of Hong Kong Island, split into 8 scenic sections. Hiking all 50 km in one go? That’s a bit much (even for the pros!), so we’re breaking it into two awesome adventures.

  • Jaw-dropping views of Hong Kong Island, lush mountains, sparkling reservoirs, and even historic military relics.
  • A chance to celebrate the trail’s 40th anniversary with the “Unlocking Hong Kong Trail” Challenge! (Registration optional, but hey, why not?)

The Plan:
Saturday, Jan 24: Sections 1–4 (25 km)
Saturday, Jan 31: Sections 5–8 (25 km)
Want to complete the full Hong Kong Trail? Make sure you RSVP for both events!

What to bring:

  • 3-4 liters of water
  • Snacks to eat along the way (sandwich, fruits, nuts, etc)
  • Hiking shoes with good support
  • Sunglasses
  • Headgear (cap/hat)
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug Spray
  • In case of Rain: plan accordingly

Toilets: There are some toilets here and there. I do not know how many there are or if they will be in service. You might need to get creative : )

Stores: There are stores at the start and end of the trails. It is best to come prepared with food and water.

Meeting Point: The Victoria Peak - Gino's Gelato

Time: 10:00 am (SHARP!)

IMPORTANT: Out of respect to the members that arrive on time, we will only be able to wait a maximum of 5 minutes. Should you arrive after 10:05 am, I will no longer be answering phone calls or responding to messages as I need to give my time and attention to those that have arrived on time.
