Sleep in a little later, then join us at 10:30. It may be a bit warmer than last week. Bundle up and let's play!
***IMPORTANT CHANGE: To minimize chaos and confusion, I have the following request: PLEASE don't come expecting to play if you are NOT ON THE "GOING" LIST. If you are on the "Waitlist" and show up anyway, PLEASE expect to play only on one of the 4 courts on the rollerhockey rink. We have portable nets to use there. It only takes a couple of minutes to set them up, and then they play no differently than the nets on any other court.
Pickleball at CC Park is always cool.
Let's serve up a fun day for everyone and spend Sunday morning playing our favorite sport!
Coffee afterwards at Ziggi's, 4th and Main, where we solve ALL the world's problems. The coffee is optional; pickleball fun is mandatory!
We start at 10:30 today.
We will try for 5 courts for play at Clark-Centennial Park! Be aware that these are public courts that are open to anyone, not just us. If others are there before us, then they have first access to the courts. According to City Court Rules, after they finish their current game, they should vacate the court if others are waiting. Invite them to rotate in with us. Let's be flexible with this, and try to accomodate reasonable requests. If they have reserved a court with the City, they get priority for it, for the time they have paid to reserve it. It always works well to set up one or two of the portable nets on the roller hockey rink, if they are needed and others aren't using it.
20 people can be playing while others rest and rotate in. Let's make beginners always feel welcome! We were all beginners once.
Bring your paddle! And your sense of light hearted fun!
*Please leave your dog at home!
If you don't yet have a paddle, DO NOT rush out and buy one! We have paddles to loan to newbies so you can get an idea of what to look for.
Closest parking is on the west side in the lot on Lashley.
"**NOTE: Please be respectful of others in our Meetup and don't sign up for more than one event per day. Also, for any of our Meetups please note the RSVP close time. Now that we have 6 venues and more than 34 courts, the organizers are trying to schedule more events. If you don't see what you want, please ask.
IMPORTANT CHANGE - Due to too many "No Shows" and keeping players on the "Wait List" from playing, the Longmont Pickleball Meetup Group will be flagging those who were on the "Going List" and fail to show up as a "No show". After 3 "No Shows", you will be removed from the group.
*** If your plans change and you need to cancel, please do so no later than 2 hours before the scheduled time, so the next up on the "Wait list" can be notified and respond.
