What we’re about
Hi Ladies and Gentleman
This is a meetup group for London theatre lovers out there.
We watch theatre as a group, and then talk about what we have seen afterwards and take pictures (optional) for social media content.
Please note, we don't have free events. The way Meetup is configured has confused people in the past. All events that we hold are paid events and tickets are bought separately via the link provided.
We look forward to seeing many plays together :-)

Do you think there's something wrong with a woman alone?"
New York, 1905. Emmy Award winner Samira Wiley plays Esther, who sews exquisite lingerie for women from all walks of life. Successful and fiercely independent, she dreams of opening her own beauty salon, but can’t shake the longing to fall in love. When she begins to receive beautiful letters from a lonesome stranger, it looks like it could just be her ticket to happiness.
Double Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Lynn Nottage reunites with director Lynette Linton (Critics’ Circle Best Director for Blues for an Alabama Sky) for this new production of one of Nottage’s most acclaimed plays, following their sell-out productions of Sweat and Clyde’s for the Donmar. (Donmar Warehouse). Buy your ticket on the link: INTIMATE APPAREL — BY LYNN NOTTAGE | Donmar Warehouse - Miss Myrtle’s GardenThe Bush Theatre , London
Miss Myrtle is a sharp-tongued woman with an unkempt garden in a rapidly changing neighbourhood. To top it off, her grandson Rudy and his ‘close friend’ Jason need a place to stay, and local drunk Eddie keeps relieving himself against her garden wall.
Rudy is pushing for answers about the past; but Myrtle doesn’t want to be troubled by duppies – she just wants some peace and quiet. As her brain starts to fight against her, far more complicated questions about grief, love and understanding demand to be confronted; but she’s running out of time.
Miss Myrtle’s Garden is a wonderfully warm, witty, and life-affirming exploration into how we acknowledge the past, as a means to confronting life head on in the present. A world premiere production by Danny James King, Directed by incoming Bush Artistic Director, Taio Lawson. (Bush Theatre)

A new bus route cuts through East London. On board, strangers sit shoulder to shoulder, each carrying stories, secrets and something to prove. As the journey unfolds, so does the fear.
Set entirely on a bus travelling from Hoxton to Highbury, The 392 unfolds through a cast of charismatic characters coming from very different worlds, but tied together through a shared suspicion.
Written by award-winning author & poet, Ashley Hickson-Lovence, and adapted for the stage by Olivier and twice Offie-nominated writer/director, Toby Clarke, The 392 is a fresh and theatrically bold take on where London is right now and how a shared shift in perspective could turn out alright.
Content warnings: racism, hate speech, slurs, bodily harm and mention of suicide.#### Praise for The 392 (novel)
