What we’re about
Welcome to River of Ki Aikido (ROKA)!
We are a supportive community that believes Aikido is more than just a martial art. It’s a practice of self-discovery and growth. At ROKA, you can train your mind to stay calm, centered, and present and condition your body to be strong, adaptable, and resilient.
Our practice integrates Tohei’s Four Principles to Unify Mind and Body: Keep one-point, Relax completely, Keep weight underside, and Extend Ki. We follow the tradition of Kinokawa Ryu Aikido, a style that emphasizes the unconditional acceptance and blending of energy (Ki) and balances the practical, martial aspects of Aikido with its deeper purpose of unifying mind, body, and spirit.
Whether you’re a complete beginner, a returning martial artist, or transitioning from another discipline, you’ll find a home here. We blend movement, mindfulness, and practical self-defense in a supportive and collaborative environment where progress, not perfection, is valued.
Join us on the mat to move with confidence and strength, build resilience for everyday challenges, and become part of a supportive and fun community.
Experience a journey that is both challenging and enjoyable, where you can build confidence, resilience, and strength in every part of your life.
