This group is for members and visitors to Makespace, a community workshop in Cambridge, UK. The meetups are organised by community members both in the space and elsewhere in Cambridge.

* Community members, enthusiasts, and educational groups who could benefit from a lab in which to work together, network, socialise, and draw on the expertise of others
* People working within local industries looking to innovate in ways that require new skills, equipment and contacts
* Companies and consultancies that support innovation and prototyping, and who could provide training, support, leading to the sale of their services
* Innovators needing to produce physical prototypes to further their ideas

Looking forward to your Makespace membership induction, Sunday at 12pm.
There are a few steps you can take to make the most of the induction.
1) Make your payment on the morning of your induction. Click here to set up the monthly payments:

Memberships are an initial 3 month minimum.
2) Have 2 forms of ID ready to bring with you. Screen shots are fine for the proof of address.
3) Start filling in your membership form by visiting here:
https://web.makespace.org/induction-form/ and clicking on the link to the induction form.
The form will ask for your name/address and to read the membership agreements. Please, complete that form until you reach a point where it tells you to stop and wait for the inductor.
4) Arrive before 12pm at Makespace. At the door, you will be asked if you have completed the above steps.
You will reopen the induction form you started at home. When you log in with the same information all your data will be there.
The inductor will check your ID. Then there will be:- A short talk about how Makespace works (you can preview the presentation here)
- An introduction to the equipment and training system. (have a look: https://equipment.makespace.org)
- A safety tour of the workshops.
We will ask you to subscribe to the cammakespace Google Group (https://groups.google.com/g/cammakespace) for announcements and discussions.
Lastly you will be given your membership number so you can access training.
Our aim is to have all the administration finished by 13:15 at which time you can join the other members in the workshops or start the online portion of your equipment training.
PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE LATE. We will not admit after 12PM
