This is easy coastal walk. Please wear water proof shoes. Also advise carrying a dry towel with you. We shall have our lunch at West Kirby Beach while the tide is ebbing away. Crossing for Hilbre Island should be safe in between 2pm-8pm.
Meet Point: In the waiting area above platform 14 or on the platform at Piccadilly Station. Alternatively, meet the group on the train, or at the change of trains at Liverpool Lime Street, or at the walk start at Meols Station
Transport to Walk Start: 09:37 train from Manchester Piccadilly to Liverpool Lime Street, then the 10.38am Merseyrail train from Liverpool Lime Street to Meols.
Suggested Ticket: Off Peak Day Return to Liverpool Lime Street, then Off peak Day Return to Meols.

Walk Start: Meols Railway Station at 11:05
Waypoints: Wirral Coastal trail, Red Rocks, West Kirby Beach, Hilbre Island
Return Services: Merseyrail from West Kirby to Liverpool Lime Street running every 15 minutes until 11.00pm, then numerous trains back to Manchester
Extra: There are no toilets at the walk start. Optional social drinks at the end of the walk. Please do not bring your dog (apart from assistance dogs)
