What we’re about
Aiming to bring together those who love craft beer, who want to meet more people who also love it, and who want to get out and about to visit more great breweries, pubs and other relevant places - to drink and socialise. Based in Maple Ridge, Lower Mainland, BC, Canada (but may travel!). Check out the BC Ale Trail, Maple Ridge Ale Trail, and local breweries Foamers’ Folly, Switchback Brewing, Ridge Brewing Co, and The Patch for wider info on local and regional craft beer happenings. We do head out of Maple Ridge on a regular basis.
There is a facebook group page to compliment this Meetup group, helping bring people together online to chat and share beer-related goodness. This is August Beer Club, Part 2! Part 1 is on Sat Aug 9 at Patina in PoCo, so check that event out and join us if you can.
Our second PoCo visit will start at Northpaw Brew Co and then move on to Tinhouse Brewing, with a possible further explore. Lots to do and see in this area, as explained by this great BC Ale Trail blog on the Treboulay PoCo Trail. Northpaw does food, and at Tinhouse you can order in, which means your belly is all taken care of in both places.

- Sept Beer Club at 'Our Neck of the Woods' free music festival - Sept 6Maple Ridge Memorial Peace Park, Maple Ridge, BC
'Our Neck of the Woods' music festival returns to Maple Ridge this year after the inaugural one last year. That event marked 150 years of the land that is now known as Maple Ridge. This land remains the traditional and unceded land of the Katzie First Nation and the Kwantlen First Nation, who have lived here since time immemorial.
Beer Club will join in this great event in downtown Maple Ridge, and will gather from 4pm (exact spot tbc but last time there was a beer garden on 224th near the Memorial Peace Park). Live music starts from 6pm and this area will be selling beer. Last year there was a special beer collab Hazy IPA from Foamers Folly, Switchback and The Patch breweries but no word yet on if this will reappear. The whole event is free to attend
