Move Club Social – The Innovation Loop (Belfast Tech Week Special)
As part of Belfast Tech Week we are taking Move Club Social on a special 5/6K loop through the city. This run celebrates the places that have shaped Belfast’s innovation story over the last 30 years.
It is not just for people in tech, everyone is welcome. Whether you run, jog, or walk, it is a chance to enjoy the city and visit the landmarks that tell the story of Belfast’s growth.
The route begins and ends at The Ewart on Bedford Street. Along the way we will pass Queen’s University, one of the city’s education and talent engines, Ormeau Baths, home to local entrepreneurs and startups, the Gasworks and Lanyon Place which anchor FDIs and successful indigenous companies such as Allstate and FinTrU, and then on to River House, Arthur House and Urban HQ which provided the first launchpads for many of Belfast’s success stories.
All paces welcome and we’ll stop at a few sites on the way.
Meet at 6.00pm on Monday at The Ewart. All abilities are welcome. After the run we will gather back at The Ewart for a drink. Wine, beer, juice, some pizza and a bit of informal networking.
