About us
Welcome to our international Meetup group “Meeting new friends in Zug” — a warm, open community that has been bringing people together in the canton of Zug since the founder, Sandra, created it in 2017!
This group has helped thousands of locals and newcomers from around the world connect, share experiences, and build lasting friendships. Whether you're new to Zug, have lived here for years, or are just visiting, everyone is welcome — no matter your age, background, culture, beliefs, or lifestyle.
We love organising a wide variety of fun, relaxed activities: after-work drinks and conversations, board games, walks and bike rides around the beautiful canton, sports like badminton, cultural outings (concerts, art exhibitions, museums), traditional Swiss experiences (fondues, raclette, ice skating), and much more. On a regular basis, we also weave in light-hearted (Swiss-)German language practice — picking up useful words and phrases while chatting, laughing, and crossing cultural borders.
Our agenda stays flexible and member-driven: we're always open to your ideas! If there's an activity you'd love to try or host, just suggest it — many of our best events have come from member suggestions.
Whether you're looking to practice your German, explore more of Switzerland, make new friends over a drink, or simply enjoy good company, you're warmly invited to join us.

Skyjo game night
Freiruum, Zählerweg 5, Zug, ZG, CHLet's play Skyjo together! We will do a short introduction at 18:50. But you can also come later. Most games take 10 to 20 minutes.

Meeting Point: Freiruum, Aabachstrasse 16, 6300 Zug
We will have a reserved area next to the Kraft Markt (see the map and photo in the photos section), with seating and standing areas.
Beverages can be ordered from the long, large bar in the middle of the building. Event signs will be placed on the tables in the meeting area. See the attached picture.
