Bike Bedford to Great Meadows to Concord

Bicycle the B&M Rail Trail (Reformatory Branch Trail) from Bedford Depot to Great Meadows and on to Concord center. This is a lovely hiking trail through the woods. Since round trip distance is about 9 miles, we'll do it on bicycles at only 2 to 3 times the pace of walkers - less than 10 mph to better appreciate the surroundings and being courteous to other walkers or riders.

Road surface varies from dirt to fine gravel and width from 1 to 3 bike widths. Best for hybrid bikes or tires wider than 32 mm at less than maximum inflation pressure since the biking is a little more technical than the BFRT we did July 20. This is also posted on The Exploring Group site and limited to a combined total of 14 participants.

Wear a bike helmet, closed toe shoes or sneakers. If not wearing shorts, secure pants above ankle to avoid chain mishaps.
Bring hydration and snacks.

All participants must use care and good judgment and obey all instructions, rules, and regulations of the venue and local authorities.
The volunteer group leaders, hosts, and other participants are not liable for any harm or injury caused by participating in the detailed purpose of the event.
