What we're about
This is a social golf group for people that would like to play nine holes every few weeks. We require golf players to be able to play the game. No beginners please! If you would like to play golf with a group of different people, then this is the group. I book nine hole games at different public courses around Perth for a group of 16 to 24 every week.
The group has a yearly membership of $30. This lasts from the 1st January 2018 to the 31st December 2018. For new members we offer a 3 month FREE trial so you get a feel for the group before you pay the membership. The membership money is used to buy golf games that are on special through Groupon and to book months before at golf clubs like Joondalup and the Vines.
The Guys and Girls Golf group has been running for the last 4 years on Meetup and prior to this for 2 plus years on Facetime.
All golf games will be prepaid so you will need to set up a Paypal account. Please don't ask to do bank transfers - I will say NO.
Most of the members of this group don't take the game too seriously! We just like to get out and hit some balls and have some fun. I keep a score of my game because I like to see if I'm getting better!!! ha ha - but a few members just play and don't worry about their score!!! A few groups also play ambrose because they like playing for fun.
Most members have never been joined to a golf club - so we do lack a bit of golf etiquette!!! We are though, very willing to learn the rules from more experience players.
It's a good opportunity to meet new people and maybe organise a game of golf with your new golf buddies.
I started the group due to finding my golf clubs in the corner of my spare room, all dusty and neglected!!! My aim was to meet like minded people with dusty clubs and get out and play!!! I hope all my members get to meet new people to play anytime they want!
I also try and organise a golf dinner every few months - and we rarely talk golf!!!
I try and keep the group current and if members haven't played or visited the site for 3 months I remove them from the group - sorry!
