Forest Bathing (Nature Connection) Walk
Forest Bathing is being called "The New Yoga", but actually connecting to nature in meaningful ways is something humans have been practicing for thousands of years in different cultures all around the world. We know from nature-based Indigenous cultures that moving slowly in nature is a way to deeply listen to inner and outer landscapes. It connects us with our intuition, our deep inner knowing. In our modern world we’ve lost touch with such practices and tend to devalue them. I invite you to come walk with me and remember… In addition to creating Barefoot Wellbeing (, I am an Education Officer at Centennial Parklands. I lead this Nature Connection Walk in that capacity. As such please note that this is a ticketed event. It is $30 for a 2hr session and you can buy your tickets here: Our Nature Connection walk is the antidote to high-stress, fast-paced modern living. Studies have shown that moving mindfully in nature is good medicine for mind, body and spirit. Informed by the Japanese practice of "Shinrin Yoku" or “Forest Bathing”, this type of mindful walking is calming and soothing to the nervous system and can help boost your immune system. On this Nature Connection Walk we’ll explore various invitations that help us connect to our inner and outer landscapes. The walk will include: Guided meditation Slow walking or wandering in nature Invitations that heighten sensory awareness Invitations that spark curiosity, creativity, play, imagination and memory Bush tea ceremony You can read more and book your tickets on my website Remember to bring a jacket (as we'll be moving very slowly and it can get cool), a water bottle and to wear walking shoes. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. I hope to meet you there!
