BCSM Meetup - February
Details
Speaker: Daniel Castillo, mechatronics engineer turned cybersecurity specialist and Founder of Skadi Solutions.
Topic: CI Fortify Explained: Isolation, Rebuild Readiness, and Where to Start.
ASD/ACSC’s CI Fortify guidance looks short and “high level,” but it sets a high bar for real operational resilience in OT and enabling systems.
This session breaks down what CI Fortify is asking critical infrastructure operators to be able to do: isolate vital OT and enabling systems for three months while maintaining critical services, and rapidly rebuild vital systems from trusted, known-good references.
We’ll walk through the publication’s structure—key definitions, the three preparatory steps (asset inventory, identifying vital systems, and identifying isolation points), and the two planned actions—then unpack what those requirements imply in real environments (including corporate and third-party dependencies).
To close, Daniel shares his pragmatic 90-day roadmap and deliverable artefacts for demonstrating “Fortify readiness”, so teams leave with a concrete starting direction.
