What we’re about
If you have come to Georgia from anywhere outside of the United States and have ever felt marginalized or otherized, this is the group for you!
The group's goal will not be a lofty one. The initial purpose will just be to connect with Georgia residents who grew up in other cultures and sometimes feel like outsiders when they are in the company of "pureblooded" Americans. For now, our only agenda will be to eat, drink, and share perspectives... and perhaps to engage in a bit of "venting" about American myopia.
All ethnic, cultural, national, social, educational, and professional backgrounds are welcome, and all age groups are welcome. The only requirement is that you have roots in another country or culture and feel the need to water them.
We will start out meeting socially at restaurants and bars in the Cobb/Cherokee/North Fulton area, and we'll take it from there!
