About us
Solemates Norfolk Walks is a well organised and a friendly group of people with a positive, uplifting vibe. We walk mainly throughout Norfolk on Sunday morning's plus some evening walks during the summer months and social events where possible. Walking helps to create an improved mood and general overall wellbeing with like minded people with the added bonus of getting to see some parts of the countryside that perhaps you would not otherwise see yourself.
One issue we are strict about is no dogs due to possible cattle problems. If you would like to find out more about us then please take a look at the website www.solematesnorfolkwalks.com or joining the facebook page on the website for photo's etc.
We welcome new faces who are keen to walk to try out walking. Currently the yearly membership is £25.00. However, please note the walks are not a stroll but are more brisk at around 3mph. Some people prefer this but it is an individual choice and considered more beneficial for you.
All you need to bring on the walk is some snacks/drinks for a break and to wear suitable attire.

Barford and Colton walk 6.5 miles approx.
Barford And wramplingham Village Hall & Recreation Ground Car Park, Chapel Street, Barford NR9 4AB, Norwich, GBPlease join us for a shorter walk of 6.5 miles approx, south west in Norwich City. Please meet/park up at BARFORD VILLAGE HALL ON THE MAIN ROAD (pictured in Barford) Chapel Street, Barford,NR9 4AB ready for a 10.30am start. Toilets possibly available today, and a £1.00 donation per person towards village hall funds. (Please keep some change aside for parking!)
The walk is a circular one from Barford towards Colton, over and around Barnham Broom golf club and returning via Colton Wood. On our return there is the option of drinks nearby, either in Colton or the newly opened Marlingford Bell (we can decide nearer the time) Sorry no dogs allowed. Elsing near Lyng walk 6.7 miles
Elsing Village hall, Elsing village hall, Church Street, NR20 3EA, Norwich, GBHello, please join us for a walk starting from Elsing Village Hall, Church Street, Elsing, NR20 3EA. Please be ready for the usual 10.30am start. We will need to contribute a £1.00 per person towards village hall funds today too, and there should be toilets available as well.
The walk is a circular one taking in lanes, tracks, and over to the undulating area of Cadders Hill as in the picture.
Post walk drinks at the popular Fox pub in Lyng, a short drive away. New faces welcome to come along and try us out for a free trial before deciding if you would like to join up with us for the yearly fee of £25.00.

Erpingham Walk 6.5 miles
Alby Crafts & Gardens, Cromer Road, Erpingham, Norwich NR11 7EQ, GBHello, please join us for a walk in Erpingham area. We are meeting/parking in the first car park on the right hand side at Alby Crafts centre, just off the A140 in Erpingham, NR11 7QE. Ready for a prompt 10.30am start. There are toilets available if required. Car parking is free although I am sure that Alby crafts would appreciate the support from us for using the car park.
The walk is a circular one taking in Hanworth via Aldborough, along some of Weavers Way route. Please bring snacks/drinks for a break on route.
