What we’re about
Sometimes you want to climb K2, sometimes you just want to read about it.
This is a book club for those of us who love to read about true life tales of exploration, adventure, and survival against all odds.
- **NEW as of April 2025: Adventure Reader Matt built a website for us. Discuss our reads, submit questions beforehand, vote on the next book selection, check out past reads, and check to see if you have the Wanderlust gene: https://www.adventurebooks.club/.
- One book every 6 weeks
- We meet in person at TBD- Coffee shops, breweries, Harmon's cafe, outside at a park, the library, etc.
- Ideal members have an open mind, love reading so much that you'll enjoy discussing a book even if you didn't like it that much, and are self-aware enough to know when to stop talking and relinquish the floor to someone else.
- Ongoing list of possible reads- add your own nominations: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vd3xMst24czvtoIYePGp9-tzmmX12zy5FHfFEm527Eo/edit?usp=sharing

Live the adventure, then read the adventure.
We're doing a co-event with the Wasatch Hiking & Outdoor Group. Join that group in a May 23-26 trip to Canyonlands National Park. Part of the itinerary includes visiting Blue John Canyon where Aron Ralston cut his arm off.
You don't need to attend the trip to come to the book club.
