Mary's Rock and the Pinnacle
Pinnacles Picnic Area, Pinnacles Picnic Area Rd, Luray, VA, USThis is a moderate hike of 6.9mi with 1430ft of elevation gain. These two peaks feature interesting rock formations and great views of the Page valley and Thornton gap. This trail is generally rocky but not technically challenging.
You can find a map and more information about the trail on Alltrails. There will be a fee to enter the park unless you have a pass.
Leashed dogs are very welcome!
Although there is cell service at the parking lot, there is not for much of the drive there. Please make sure you know where it is ahead of time. If you have any problem with the starting location in Meetup, you can find it on Google Maps or Alltrails. You should have no trouble finding parking. The trailhead is right at the entrance to the picnic area so grab the first parking spot you see.
The event may be cancelled or rescheduled based on the weather. Please note that I am not a professional guide and you will be hiking at your own risk.
