Murals in the Teens, Saturday Afternoon Edition
Details
While it's still (probably?) not too cold, let's get out and see some more murals, this time from Broad--as a former New Yorker, I have trouble with there being no 14th Street :)--to 19th, hence the "Teens" reference.
Update: We have an itinerary! I should mention in advance that it probably involves more walking than any of the group's previous mural-focused events. It also has a new starting point, though that's only a five minute walk from the original one (which, along with several others on the initial tentative list, will be explored at a later date).
Fantasy Landscape, 1642 Pine (though the mural is actually on 17th between Pine and Waverly)
The Stage, 302 S Hicks
Films Shaped by a City, 1412 Chestnut (but actually on Sansom between Broad and 15th)
Eagles mural, 1326 Chestnut (but actually on Sansom between Broad and 13th)
Unifying the Neighborhoods & Cultures of Philadelphia, 15th Street between Arch and JFK Boulevard
Uplift Justice, 1429 Arch
Declaration, 150 N Broad
Lay-lah Lay-lah Holocaust Mural, Horwitz-Wasserman Holocaust Memorial Plaza, Benjamin Franklin Parkway between 16th and 17th streets
Untitled (mural by Steve Powers, aka ESPO), 1728-40 Sansom
Untitled, 1800 Market
Take Up Space: Going Beyond Boundaries with Women in Technology, 1915 Arch
After we've either seen and discussed the above or reached a point of diminishing returns, we can go out for food/drink if people are interested.
