Opening Day at the ballpark is one of those settings that naturally brings people together. Whether you are a regular or joining us for the first time, a summer evening at the game is the perfect backdrop to meet someone new and enjoy the night. 🥒☀️👥

📍 Location: We will be on the Left Berm. Open seating on the grass so look for the CMNF crowd when you arrive and we can all settle in together.

🌭 Atmosphere: Expect a capacity crowd, local food, and a great night of baseball.

🧺 Seating: The Left Berm is an open grass area with no fixed seats. Bring a lawn chair or blanket for comfort throughout the evening.

First pitch is at 7:05 PM.

I believe that connecting with other people is what brings purpose and meaning to our lives. I also believe we connect with others by sharing passions, interests, and hobbies.

This event was inspired by Chris Williamson - famous podcaster - who has a dialogue about 'finding the others'. The dialogue says: "admit it, you are not like them. You may occasionally dress yourself up like one of them, watch the same mindless TV shows, maybe even eat the same fast food sometimes. But, it seems like the more you try to fit in, the more you feel like an outsider. Instead, you yearn inside to have forbidden conversations like - tell me something that makes you cry or what do you think deja vu is for? Trust your instincts; do the unexpected; find the others."

For me, the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People is easily the best self-help book ever written - and I've read a lot of them. The lessons in this book are amazing in helping people become better versions of themselves. I'm hoping to find and attract others to this event who share my enthusiasm for this book, or who are ready to put in the work to be a better version of yourself.

The Hostel Cafe is a cute establishment downtown with easy access and reasonable parking options nearby. And, has a variety of food and beverage options available - so if coffee isn't your thing, don't worry, they will likely have you covered.

This will be a social event, where you can mix and mingle and perhaps try to make a friend before the event is done.

The event starts at 11am, but please feel free to stop by anytime while the event is going on. There is no such thing as being late.

I try to welcome everyone who attends and introduce you into a conversation - if you like, so if you are feeling a little nervous or anxious about attending a social event, you might find this one a lot easier to engage with.

I suggest thinking about some interests/hobbies/passions you may want to talk about for this event. I have found that a good start to finding friends is to share a hobby or interest or passion.
