Meeting Point 📍 We are meeting at Paddy's Bar & Grill, 65 SW Yamhill St, at 7:00 PM before walking over to the festival together. We will be there until 7:30, a great chance to meet a few faces before the night kicks off.

The Rose Festival is one of Portland's most iconic traditions. Whether you connect with someone on a carnival ride, bond over food from a local vendor, or find yourself next to a new friend watching fireworks light up the waterfront, Opening Night is built for making memories with people you have not met yet. 🎆🌹

Anyone up to end the weekend with a walk on the Vancouver waterfront?

I believe that connecting with other people is what brings purpose and meaning to our lives. This event combines an opportunity to be healthy (go for a walk) and perhaps make a connection, as I'm sure plenty of conversation will be happening during the walking.

The plan is to meet at the trailhead between McMenamins and Oswego Grill on the Vancouver waterfront. Then, we will walk west toward downtown Vancouver and make the round trip coming back to where we started. Most of the walk will be on the river and affords some amazing scenery. The entire walk should be about 4 miles and take somewhere around 1.5 hours, depending on the average walking pace of the group.

Then, anyone wanting to grab a bite could meet up at either McMenamins or take part in Oswego Grill's legendary happy hour.

There is something about debating whose Bloody Mary deserved your vote with someone you just met that cuts straight through the formalities.
