Data Visualisation in Interactive Notebooks

In this instalment of the Melbourne Data Viz Meetup, we'll be talking all things notebooks!

Interactive notebooks are interfaces that allow data wranglers to interleave code, text, visualisations, and a range of other code outputs within the one document and interface. This combination of affordances is well suited for use cases such as exploratory data analysis, producing reports, writing documentation, and building interactive interfaces.

In this session we'll be hearing from three speakers who will each provide a survey of ways in which notebook-based data viz can be done in Python, R, and JavaScript through the use of Jupyter Notebooks, R Markdown/Notebooks, and the Observable platform.

If you've ever wondered what notebooks can do for your dataviz, or how it works in one of those other languages you don't normally play with, come and join us!

We'll start the evening with some drinks and nibbles at 5:30, with the talks starting around 6:15pm.
