Doing Data Viz with R & Python

Details

In this meetup we'll be putting R and Python head to head to explore what it's like to use each for performing exploratory data analysis. We'll take a dataset and go through some of the available tools and techniques in both R and Python for wrangling the data into a useful shape and producing some informative visualisations.

This will be useful for those wanting to dive into one or both of R and Python for doing data viz. It will also be useful for people already familiar with one of the languages and are keen to see what life is like on the other side.

If you have ideas for types of datasets, visualisations, or libraries you'd like to see, please fill out the Google form below before the 20th of April!

We are planning to run some live exploratory analysis streaming sessions before the event where we will will be digging into the selected dataset with both R and Python that you'll be able to tune into and interactively participate with!

This will be an online event. We'll post a link to the Zoom meeting closer to the time.
