What we’re about
Since the launch of Robert Kiyosaki's book "Rich Dad Poor Dad" 23 years ago, millions have found truth and freedom in money from Robert's teaching and also many have criticized him for challenging mainstream conceptions about education, job, tax, government and banking system.
Behind every opinion about Robert's teaching, there is a unique story about each individual - how we were educated and influenced towards money and what response we choose to handle money - one of the most important subjects in life but not taught in school.
Myself, probably like most of us, took the standard formula from my parents of going to school, getting good scores and getting a great job, very typical in Asian culture. After I finished my master degree in one of the best AU universities, I did land a job with a cool title and company name, however my financial situation didn't improve. To make things worse, I was even further away from my dreams of starting business to achieve financial abundance because I spent all I have for the degree. One year ago, at the age of 30, I came across Robert's books and started the most amazing journey of developing my financial intelligence and emotional intelligence.
Everyone is different in mindset and core values when it comes to money. However, if you were like me, experiencing a lot of struggles, confusions and uncertainties about money but still hungry and humble to learn different aspects to get close to the core of the problems, then you are in the right group at the right timing to learn what might change you forever. Great learning starts with quality questions and here are few:
• What is financial intelligence?
• Why do we need to develop financial intelligence?
• How to develop financial intelligence?
• Is your house is an asset?
• Is gold an asset?
• Is saving a good way?
• Will the price of real estate always goes up?
• Are blue-chip stocks your best investment?
•Does it take money to make money?
• Is it a must to have a university degree to make more money?
• Is investing a talent or a skill?
All answers can be found in Robert's books and that is why I am starting this club to explore financial intelligence via his books. Each week we will have an online discussion around these topics by sharing Robert's teaching in his books. More important, the journey of growing our financial intelligence could be intimidating by ourselves, that is why I also created a WhatsApp group (ask the host for the link) to allow more discussion and connections among like-minded people and also provide eBooks from Robert for those who need them.
Disclaimer:
This group doesn't provide financial or investment advice and it is purely for education purpose.
Everyone is welcomed and we are here to genuinely to learn and add value to others in the group.
Deep thanks to Robert Kiyosaki and here are a few quotes from him:
"Being financially literate and financially intelligent means being able to understand the big picture of money" - Robert Kiyosaki
"Intelligence solves problems and produces money. Money without financial intelligence is money soon gone"- Robert Kiyosaki
"50% of financial intelligence is what you learn in business school, or in my case what I learned from my rich dad. It is the so-called technical knowledge about money, accounting, finance, investing and business. The other 50% of financial intelligence is knowing when you are thinking rationally and when you are thinking emotionally. To simply say, ’Play it safe.’ is not a rational thought because it is a thought that is generated out of emotion. To say, ’Play it smart.’ is a thought coming from the rational brain. It is that 50/50 relationship that is the basis of financial intelligence“ - Robert Kiyosaki
