The three-hat Samoan smash-hit restaurant from Auckland makes its Australian debut at the Food and Wine Festival.

"Auckland’s celebrated Tala takes over St Kilda landmark Stokehouse this Festival in an exciting meeting of coastal cultures where island dining meets beachside elegance.

Recently awarded three hats at the 2025 Cuisine Good Food Awards and named one of 2025's 12 Most Exciting New Restaurants by The Australian, Tala has captured global attention with its contemporary interpretation of Samoan cuisine. Chef and owner Henry Onesemo brings his signature storytelling approach to Melbourne this March in an Australian first, joining Stokehouse chef Jason Staudt to present an experience that celebrates heritage, innovation and connection.

Get set to experience Tala’s renowned Chef’s Journey Menu, an immersive 12-course expression of Samoan culture that reimagines traditional flavours through refined technique and modern presentation. Each course will transport you through the tastes, textures and stories of Samoa, all against the backdrop of Stokehouse’s quintessential bayside setting.

With Tala touches woven throughout the dining room, you'll be able to get a taste of the magic of this unique restaurant without having to cross the Tasman. Don't miss this very special - and entirely delicious - adventure in flavour and culture".
