'Titus' - 1999 Julie Taymor film screening

The Melbourne Shakespeare Society invites you to a viewing of Julie Taymor's 1999 surrealist historical drama film, 'Titus'.

Taymor’s 'Titus' brings Shakespeare’s darkest tragedy to life with fierce performances from Anthony Hopkins as the Roman general and Jessica Lange as Tamora, Queen of the Goths. Visually arresting, the film has been described as, "A fluid time-traveling fantasia on violence and revenge that has the look and feel of a sophisticated video game."
