Multicultural Film Festival Premiere: A Million Stories at ACMI
Details
Join me for the Multicultural Film Festival Premiere 2026 at ACMI.
The Multicultural Film Festival is an annual short film festival presented by the Victorian Multicultural Commission. This year’s theme is “A Million Stories,” celebrating the richness that refugees and multicultural communities bring through lived experience, creativity and storytelling.
The evening includes a networking function, short film screenings and an awards ceremony. It should be a thoughtful, relaxed and meaningful cultural night for anyone interested in film, multicultural stories, creativity, community and different perspectives.
You are very welcome to come solo. We’ll meet outside Time Out Fed Square restaurant first, say hi, then walk over to ACMI together before the festival starts.
After the event, we can optionally grab dinner nearby if people are interested.
Who this is for
This is for anyone interested in short films, cultural stories, multicultural Australia, refugee stories, community events, arts, cinema or just trying something different on a Thursday evening.
No film knowledge needed — just come with an open mind and a relaxed attitude.
