A weekday ride to Craigieburn showcasing the beautiful Broadmeadows Valley and the vast network of bike paths up there.
Suitable for intermediate riders if doing the whole ride but you are welcome to join us there at lunchtime (eg by train) to return to town (downhill mostly) if you want to do a shorter ride.

We ride north using Upfield path to the Ring Road path and then onto the Galada Tamboore path (beside Craigieburn Bypass). We return via Broadmeadows Valley and Moonee Ponds Creek Trail.
Note: There is a gradual rise in elevation on the way north so returning to town is faster and fun
Bike: Suitable for nearly all types of bike / e-bikes. MTBs may struggle.
Please don't bring pannier bags as the wind will slow you and us all down.
Speed: 25 kmh typical
Finish time: Probably earlier
Lunch: Hothlyn Bakery (see marker on the map) in Craigieburn
Equipment: As always you need the right equipment such as Spare tube, Puncture repair kit, Pump, Tools etc. Ensure your bike is in good order first, please.
