Gisborne - Werribee via Bacchus Marsh - 93km (Upper Intermediates +)

Details

The announced Ballan ride to Geelong has been replaced with this one (Gisborne - Werribee) due to buses replacing the Ballan train.

This is an Intermediate level ride in the country with limited facilities or towns. All riding is on minor roads, some with sealed shoulders and some not. The ride has a long hill out of Gisborne. A nice and fast descent into Bacchus Marsh then lots of flat for 56km to Werribee.
NB: There are no towns, toilets or water for that last 56km.

Details: We meet at Southern Cross Station for the 9:05 Vline train to Gisborne (Echuca train) then ride to Bacchus Marsh for an early lunch.
After lunch we continue to Werribee on backroads for the suburban train back to the city. (Wyndham Vale Vline is also a possible end-point if preferred on the day)
