Details
Please ensure you have read everything before you RSVP to this road ride:
I have done this ride numerous times and like to go with the winds and we'll have favourable easterlies for much of the day.
Ride: Starting at Frankston station we ride 50km to Sorrento for the ferry to Queenscliff then cycle via Barwon Heads to Geelong where we'll catch a Vline train back to Melbourne.
- The bike travels free on the ferry which departs at the top of the hour through the day. We queue with the cars to board it.
- Vline trains depart every 20 minutes during the holidays
Lunch location depends on what time we get to Sorrento. It will be either in Sorrento or on the boat.
Distance: 100 km +542m ascent.
Riders: Upper intermediates and above. If uncertain please ask me.
Bike type: Lightweight conventional dropbar road bikes only, thanks
Forecast: Dry. Expecting up to 22°C but it will feel cooler. Easterly winds 15-25 km/h.
