Continue to delve into and practice ‘the Dialectic’ form of enquiry at our 2026 Socrates Café.

Join us for a collaborative philosophical dialogue where we democratically select a central question and gently unpack it together—not as debate, but as a shared journey designed to look beneath surface-level assumptions and burn through rigid mental concepts. Whether you are a seasoned esoteric scholar or a curious seeker stepping into the Melbourne Theosophical Society Lodge for the very first time, please bring an open mind and your sharpest questions.

We will begin the session with a brief review of the Dialectic process; then we will practice in a space where diverse minds can explore together.

"Dialectic, then, as you will agree, is the coping-stone of the sciences; no other science can be placed higher - the nature of knowledge can no further go."
-Plato: Republic VII, 534e
