Amphitheatre Hike Silvermine Gate 1

Meet at the "dam" parking at 7.45 am.
This is a fairly easy hike but with quite a bit of uphill and steps in places so a moderate level of fitness is required. It is a circular route which takes us past lovely clusters of everlastings ( Cape Snow) and proteas and gorgeous views.
The hike is 6km and there is a good chance of wind and not that much shade so come prepared with a jacket, hats, snacks and lots of water. We will end up at the Silvermine reservoir where a swim could be a good idea for some.
Meet at the parking next to the reservoir at 7.45.
Dogs are welcome but an Activity card is required for them.
There is a free entry for those who have a Wild, Green or Activity card. Discounted rates for SA residents so bring your ID. The cost will be R44 (cash only). A guest fee for non Meridian members is R40.
