Metropolitan Walkers is part of the Ramblers, Britain's walking charity. All welcome for 3 'taster' walks, after which please join the Ramblers - info on the Met Walkers website
The 4th and final walk in an annual series of walks designed to help walkers prepare for longer countryside walks with the security of having dropout points. Experienced walkers are welcome too.
Please note this walk is NOT a leisurely stroll.
This walk starts off in Green Park and will also take in Hyde Park, Regents Park and Primrose Hill before we reach our first dropout point at Belsize Park (6 miles). Then we will go up Parliament Hill on Hampstead Heath where we will stop for lunch. Please bring packed lunch.
After lunch we will see more of Hampstead Heath before heading to the next dropout point at Hampstead (8 miles). Then we will head to Golders Hill Park before reaching our next dropout point at Golders Green (10 miles).
Finally we will go through Hendon Park and onto the end of the walk at Hendon Central. Pub stop at the end and possible pub stop during the walk for drinks only depending on time.
Terrain: Parks, Urban
Travel: Use TfL Journey Planner to get to the start on time. Oyster/contactless both ways.
The walk starts outside Green Park Station. Please meet at the Diana Fountain, reached by the Green Park exit.
Grading: Moderate.
