Mevagissey to Chapel Point Circular Evening Walk - 5 miles

This is an evening moderate 5 mile circular walk with a couple of hills.

Meet on Mevagissey Harbour at ‘She Shells’ cafe for quick coffee etc on the East Wharf. Meet from 18:15 am and set off at 18:30. Once we have ambled around the harbour, the tiny, tiny lighthouse and along the sea wall, we will head up the steps to Cliff Park above the harbour. From there we head over to the outskirts of Portmellon, skirting its boundaries, past the tiny manor at Penwarne, and over the open fields to Galowras Mill (now a private residence). We then head back towards Portmellon through West Bodrugan Woods, which is a nature reserve.

On arriving at Porthmellon Cove, we head up the hill taking Chapel Point Lane for a mile or so, climb over the hill and drop down onto the cove and Chapel Point. Once we have had a chance to rest, we set off to return back along the coastal path via Portmellon and back into Mevagissey Harbour.

• Bring water, snacks, walking footwear and weather appropriate clothing (as a bit muddy here and there).
