Join us for a visit to the Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil, located in the San Ángel neighborhood of Mexico City. This museum houses the collection of Álvar Carrillo Gil and Carmen Tejero, which includes over 1,400 works of modern Mexican and European art.
Designed by architects Augusto H. Álvarez and Enrique Carral Icaza, the MACG’s architecture features continuous ramps connecting its galleries, eliminating visual hierarchies and creating a fluid and immersive experience.
During our visit, we’ll enjoy:

• Permanent Collection: Featuring key works by José Clemente Orozco, David Alfaro Siqueiros, Diego Rivera, Günther Gerzso, Wolfgang Paalen, Luis Nishizawa, and many more.
• Ni origen ni torbellino: This exhibition revisits some of the most emblematic contemporary art pieces shown at the MACG throughout its history. Located between the 2nd and 3rd floors, it brings together archival materials, photographs, curatorial documents, and selected artworks that reflect the museum’s experimental spirit from 1974 to today.
• Yani Pecanins – The Simple Things: A retrospective of this Mexican artist’s work, covering over four decades of visual production. The show includes artist books, installations, and graphic works where aesthetic sensitivity meets the poetry of everyday life.

In addition to enjoying the art, this event is a great opportunity to practice English in a friendly and relaxed setting while chatting with fellow attendees. Of course, you're also welcome to enjoy chatting in Spanish if you prefer.

Únete a nosotros en una visita al Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil, ubicado en el barrio de San Ángel, CDMX. Este museo alberga la colección de Álvar Carrillo Gil y Carmen Tejero, conformada por más de 1,400 obras de arte moderno mexicano y europeo.
Diseñado por los arquitectos Augusto H. Álvarez y Enrique Carral Icaza, la arquitectura del MACG está diseñada para que las salas se conecten mediante rampas continuas, eliminando jerarquías visuales y ofreciendo un recorrido fluido por la colección.
En nuestra visita podremos disfrutar de:

• Colección permanente: En ella destacan piezas de José Clemente Orozco, David Alfaro Siqueiros, Diego Rivera, Günther Gerzso, Wolfgang Paalen, Luis Nishizawa y muchos más.
• Ni origen ni torbellino: Esta muestra revisa algunas de las obras más emblemáticas de arte contemporáneo presentadas en el MACG a lo largo de su historia. Situada entre los pisos 2 y 3, combina materiales de archivo, fotografías, documentos curatoriales y piezas seleccionadas que reflejan su espíritu experimental desde 1974 hasta hoy.
• Yani Pecanins - Las cosas sencillas: Un recorrido por la obra de esta artista mexicana, que abarca más de cuatro décadas de producción visual. La exposición incluye libros de artista, instalaciones y piezas gráficas donde su sensibilidad estética se encuentra con la cotidianeidad macroscópica.

Además de disfrutar del arte, este evento es una excelente oportunidad para practicar inglés en un ambiente amigable y relajado conversando con otros asistentes. Por supuesto, también puedes disfrutar del recorrido conversando en español si lo prefieres.
