Hiking at Holly Rec (9ish or 12ish mile options)

We leave at 9:45 SHARP -- so get your butt there early.

THE PLAN:
We will be pseudo-randomly hiking through the trails in Holly Rec and end up back at our cars 9ish and 12ish miles later! The hike will be done at a moderately-fast pace (~3mph) with small breaks along the way.

DOGS:
On leashes are allowed

BATHROOMS:
At trailhead and at least 1 set along the trail

THE MEETING SPOT:
The parking lot (Overlook Picnic Area*) is the first left about 2/3 mile after the ranger station. If you hit an open gate or a bridge then you've gone too far.

COSTS:
This is a state rec area so you need a Michigan Recreation Pass. If you do not have one, then it is likely a ranger will put a $19 ticket on your car -- paying that gets you the Pass. Not paying that gets you a much bigger ticket...

QUESTIONS/COMMENTS:
While I try my best to be a nice guy, pleasantly note that I likely will not get to your very-last-minute-trying-to-find-the-location questions. So, give yourself a little extra time to zoom past the place, panic a bit, turn around a mile later, and head back.
