Parkville Nature Sanctuary Hike

Let’s hike this beautiful, mostly shaded trail for about an hour and a half or 3-4 miles.

The Parkville Nature Sanctuary does not allow dogs.

Meet at the just East of the parking lot where the pin shows on

When the parking lot is full, people have parallel parked along the street that goes up the hill with no problems. You can also park downtown and walk over.

Trails are a mix of level ground and steep hills, mulch, tree roots and rocks, crushed rock and dirt with minimal if any contact with vegetation.

Hiking shoes and poles aren’t required, but I find them helpful on rough and steep terrain. Bringing water is a good idea.

Be prepared to hike a casual to moderate pace and stay together as a group. We’ll stop occasionally to catch our breath and take in the sights!
