Hike to the most remote point on Dartmoor
Details
From the highest point last week to the most remote; Fur Tor.
This is an out and back route rather than the usual circular ones. 10 miles in total, and tough underfoot.
Initially a reasonably good path following East Dart river from Postbridge, out to Sandy Hole pass, followed by what can only really be described as a slog (am I selling it?) out to Fur Tor through some very boggy terrain, however it's absolutely worth the effort, as Fur tor is an incredible place, 6 miles from any road, with sweeping views into the north moor.
We’ll have luch at Fur Tor before coming back the same way. Bring layers as it can be quite exposed there.
As mentioned the route includes a very wet and boggy stretch, which will be worse if it's rained recently.
Please do not come or sign up to this walk without good waterproof boots, and walking trousers - jeans/trainers are not appropriate for this walk.

We'll meet in the Postbridge visitor car park, but there is free parking very close by at Bellever (as it's now £5.60/day in the main car park)
