Based in McKinney, Texas, Kara Gentle Martin is the founder of Gentle Confections, a home bakery known for its beautiful custom-decorated cookies and joyful decorating classes. She believes every cookie tells a story and says, “you are loved, you are seen, you are valued.”

Inspired by her family’s legacy of entrepreneurship and her dad’s encouragement, Kara built Gentle Confections to honor both her roots and her love of community.
