This winter THREE John Woo Hong Kong movies are playing in cinemas. First up is HARD-BOILED (1992) with Chow Yun-Fat (Li Mu Bai in Crouching Tiger) and Tony Leung (not in Crouching Tiger). I don't think these movies need any introduction. A bit of the old ultra-violence never hurt anybody.

Let's go to West-End Cinema, I think it's the most central theater to the Twin Cities. (There are no theaters of course in the movie desert of downtown Minneapolis other than Main, and I don't know about you, but I'm just getting a little tired of having them look down their noses at us. So this group isn't the Nouvelle Vague. That's none of their business.)

Monday, January 26, @ 7:30PM. We always sit in the third row, but you can of course sit back in the nose-bleed section if you want to.

Last time we had a Field Trip I asked Meetup's AI to write the description. The following is not a joke. This is meetup's suggestion for a description for the movie *HAUSU*.
