In December of 2025 a cyberattack on Poland's Distributed Energy Resources (DER) compromised ICS/OT systems in multiple energy and manufacturing plants. Attacking party(ies) gained access via vulnerable internet-facing devices. RTUs were damaged, HMIs lost data, OT devices had system firmware corrupted, and system operators lost monitoring and control capabiliites.
