Hike to Rio Medio- TIME CHANGE

Please see photo section for driving route. This is a beautiful drive. Meet at Tesuque casino to carpool. In photos section you will see location of Borrego Mesa campground. This is where our trailhead starts. We go down about 400-500ft to Rio Medio (NOT Rio en Medio). Then we will walk along the river until we reach some big trees and have our lunch. Then it's back up. Very scenic and although part of this area has been burned, it is recovering very nicely. I discovered this hike on a bird watching trip. Marjorie, one of our members was on this bird hike and she may be able to tell you more. About 4-5 miles. Bring poles, lunch, suncreen, hat, wear good boots or hiking shoes and bring plenty of water. The drive is about an hour from Santa Fe and we have to go through Cordova. Please answer yes to question to attend. If snowing or raining we will reschedule. I'm sorry I couldn't find this on Alltrails but it is relatively easy out and back hike. please give your driver $5
