DANCING IN THE PARK

Details

YES, WE ARE BACK! After suspending our dance activities for nearly 6 months, we have started again with our popular outdoor events!
Australian bush dancing (mostly English/Scottish tradition) as done in country towns through the 1800s and 1900s.

During December, January and February we hold our Monday workshops outdoors on Stage 88 in Commonwealth Park.
Lots of fun - no experience necessary as you are taught the dances then called throughout them. Live music.
A friendly, welcoming crowd will have you dancing in no time, starting at 6.45pm and going till dark.

FREE event - though any donations welcome to help offset cost of venue.
If you are not too sure whether you would enjoy, bring a blanket and picnic - you can sit and watch from the grass in front of the stage - enjoy the music, until you work out that you, too, can do it, then join in.

IMPORTANT NOTE - Take a bottle or two of water as dancing will make you thirsty.

Cheers Geoff
