Meditation & Support Circle
Details
This week’s meditation: to be announced
What is Dr. Joe Dispenza’s work about?
Dr. Joe Dispenza’s work explores the power of the mind to influence the body and transform our lives. Through neuroscience, meditation, and mind-body research, he teaches that our thoughts, emotions, and beliefs can literally rewire the brain and open the door to personal change and healing.
How does it compare to Zen meditation?
Zen meditation is generally quiet, simple, and non-directive.
Dr. Joe Dispenza’s meditations are more active and intentional. They combine elevated emotions, focused attention, inspirational music, and guided direction to help you create meaningful change from the inside out.
What is the Breath?
Some meditation tracks include a 6-minute breathing sequence. By holding your awareness at the sixth energy center and drawing the breath upward from the base of the spine, you increase energy in the brain and experience deeper coherence and clarity.
What does a Meditation & Support session look like? How does it unfold?
This is a seated guided meditation followed by a group support conversation.
We begin by sitting in a circle on chairs, closing our eyes, and following a recorded meditation by Dr. Joe Dispenza. The atmosphere is friendly, relaxed, and welcoming—this is a community that supports one another. Schedule:
- Arrivals: as early as 6pm
- Start: 6:30pm
- Meditation: ~1 hour (one track that rotates weekly)
- Support Conversation: ~30–45 minutes
We usually wrap up around 8:30pm. You are free to stay later to share a snack.
What is the purpose of the Support Conversation?
Meditation helps quiet the mind and open the heart. The group conversation that follows allows us to integrate what we’re learning, receive encouragement, and support one another through life’s challenges and responsibilities. Topics often relate to health and well-being, relationships, mindset, habits, or creating positive change in life.
It is a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space where you can:
- Ask questions
- Share struggles or wins
- Talk about applying the work in daily life
- Connect with others on a similar path
Listening quietly is always welcome.
How can we support each other with active listening?
During the sharing circle, we use Mirroring Listening: listening with presence and empathy, without judgment, without interrupting, minimizing feelings, giving advice unless asked, comparing stories, or trying to fix anything.
If I have no experience meditating, should I still come?
Absolutely. All levels are welcome. Whether you’re new to meditation or familiar with Dr. Joe Dispenza’s work, you’ll benefit from practicing as a group and connecting with a supportive community.
Do I need to prepare or bring anything?
No preparation is required. We recommend bringing:
- A bottle of water
- An eye cover or eye mask
How much does one session cost?
Attendance is free. Bringing a drink or a snack to share after the meditation is appreciated.
