Not all facts are practical, as knowing the number of stars in the Milky Way galaxy bears no practical sense in our everyday life. On the other hand, not all things that are practical are grounded in truths or facts. I’m still trying to examine my position on the practicality of religion, but for some people believe that even if religion is based on false premises, it has a huge role in our personal lives.
Do you think that it is okay to delude ourselves to some degree just to be practical? Or are theists right at the end that religion is not just true but also practical? If you have answers to these questions, feel free to share your ideas in an open discussion setting.
