Ride to Sandia Crest for the June ADV Ride.

Start your engines (and maybe your sense of adventure) — we're heading over the mountain the fun way!

📍 Location: Warrior Fuel Stop – 960 US-550, Bernalillo, NM 87004
📣 Pre-Ride Briefing: 8:45 AM
🏁 Kickstands Up: 9:00 AM sharp.

### 🏔 Route Highlights:

We’ll cruise east on Highway 550 into Placitas, then take the gravel road that climbs up and over the Sandias — the “watermelon” mountains (named not for produce but for their pinkish glow at sunset 🍉✨).
Along the way, we’ll stop at a cave for a break and a short hike. (It’s not Carlsbad Caverns, but it’s got cool vibes and great photo ops.)
Then it’s on to the park to soak in the sights, listen to the babbling mountain stream, and feel superior to everyone stuck in city traffic.
After getting our fill of nature (and dust), we’ll descend the east side of the mountain and make a well-earned stop at Burger Boy in Cedar Crest (2023 State Hwy 14 N). Local legend says their green chile cheeseburger might just change your life.
Then, full of burgers and glory, we’ll make our way back home.

### ⚠️ Ride Details:

• This is light off-roading, but don’t let that fool you — there will be washboard, sandy sections, and some bumps that’ll rattle your fillings.
• NOT recommended for road bikes or trikes unless you're looking to start a GoFundMe for new suspension.
