Animation Networking Meetup - Drink and Draw

Join us at the Hawthorn Hotel this Sunday, 6–8pm for a relaxed Drink & Draw.

This session’s theme is Lost & Found

We’re also play-testing Rob Koh’s social sketching game as an icebreaker—purely optional and no sign-ups needed.

Sketch if you like, or just come to chat, swap ideas, and meet other animation-minded creatives.

Whether you’re a student, emerging artist, or seasoned pro, you’re welcome—drawing and game participation are optional. Bring a friend, and please RSVP so we can hold enough tables

Bring (optional):

• Sketchbook/iPad -Pens/pencils/markers (a few spares will float around, but best to bring your own)
• Business cards or a QR to your reel/portfolio

Who it’s for?

• 2D/3D animators, storyboard artists, character designers, motion designers, riggers, illustrators, producers—anyone who loves animation
• Friendly newcomers who just want to meet creative people (drawing not required)

While the event runs 6–8pm, the conversations and connections often continue afterward—come for a page or two of sketches, stay for the company. We’re also trialling a fortnightly cadence, so your feedback helps shape future sessions. Note: Our community emphasises collaboration, friendship, and goodwill rather than promotional activity.
