For our February 11, 2026 monthly meeting, we have Big Cypress National Preserve Ranger Candace Presenting The Little Swamp of Horrors: Carnivorous Plants of Florida.
Florida is home to more carnivorous plants than any other state, but why is that? What makes the Florida environment so inviting for these plants to develop such strange adaptations? Join Ranger Cadence to dive into the sweet-smelling sticky world that is Florida's carnivorous plants and discover what makes each species uniquely equipped to survive in this wild and watery landscape.

We will experiment with putting the meetings on Facebook LIVE for those who can’t be there.

Meetings are regularly scheduled on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm, in the North Collier Govt Center at Orange Blossom Drive, just off Airport Rd and across the parking lot from the Main Branch of the Collier County Library. Come to the left (south) corner of the Government Center.

After the meeting some of us meet up for dinner someplace.

WE CAN THROW A MEETING - BE THERE!!!!!!
